Library IV
Williamstown, N.J.

This performance marked the third straight season with a Friday-night visit to the Library IV steakhouse. That bit of good news was tempered quickly by a malfunction with the guitar electronics, causing some early delays in the gig. The situation was rectified as well as could be by eventually turning down the vocal microphone to a very low output and shutting off the guitar channel. Fortunately, the Library IV is a relaxed, mellow place, and most everyone in the lounge was close enough to hear the performance without the aid of much amplification. Disaster averted; another great night of music!

The early unplanned breaks while trying to remedy the sound problems left Dom feeling bad about taking any formal intermissions the rest of the night. So, just about every song on the playlist still got a spin, but in one continuous set that stretched 35 songs. Since this Friday was the start of Columbus Day weekend, "One of These Days" (and its reference in the refrain to a three-day weekend) came out to play toward the bottom third of the slate.
